Talk Description
Dr SooJin Nam presents on Practical Myopia Management in Clinical Practice ** Interactive**
Duration: 60 minutes
Synopsis: With an increasing number of myopia control interventions now available (spectacle lenses, contact lenses, atropine), it becomes more important to ensure that treatment plans are personalised for the children’s visual needs, clinical findings and family requirements. These considerations include potentially competing demands of myopia efficacy, managing binocular vision symptoms and ocular health concerns such as dry eyes. Consider your communication (and education) strategy with parents and children for improved compliance. Review case studies as you consider the following questions: What myopia management option best suits the clinical history and is most appropriate for the child? What’s the criteria for effective myopia control? Is mono therapy working? Or should it be dual therapy? When should treatments be changed? What tests and how often should patients be reviewed for myopia progression?
