Talk Description

Samantha Lee presents on Atropine for Myopia Control in the Australian Context – What Concentration & For How Long?
Duration:
30 minutes

Synopsis: The debate over what is the optimal atropine concentration continues. Studies in East Asia, Australia, and other parts of the world have suggested that there is no one-concentration-fits-all approach. With the known rebound effects after stopping treatment, when is a safe time to cease therapy?

Learning Objectives
  1. Identify factors to consider when deciding the concentration of atropine to use
  2. How to decide on when to cease 0.01% atropine therapy for myopia control
Assessment:  Click here for details on the 5 Optional MCQS
