Calling All UWA Optometry Students - Enter Our E-Poster Competition


Calling UWA Optometry Students, 
 
We invite you to take this opportunity to submit an E-Poster for WAVE 2025, our annual state conference held in March 2025. 

You choose a topic, and then research either alone or in a group & then prepare your E-Poster to submit online. 
 
E-Posters will be displayed on our WAVE 2025 website & also at the WAVE venue on the weekend of the 22nd & 23rd March 2025. 
 
As well as the benefits of researching an optometry topic of interest to you, you will be in with a chance to win a cash prize as one poster will be randomly selected as a winner over the WAVE weekend. 
 

Prize is $150 per author, to a maximum of $450 paid out.  

First Step:
  1. Choose your topic
  2. Research your content
  3. Complete a submission HERE.

You will be required to create a new account, or login with an existing account. 

You receive an email to confirm your submission has been submitted successfully.

Your E-Poster - Your Choice

Next Step: Designing Your E-Poster
The team will then commence reviewing your submission. In the meantime, please start designing your E-Poster ready to upload.

  1. Slide size for formatting must be 9:16 – As per this template. Once you are done, you will be required to submit your poster as a PDF. 

  2. You don’t have to use our templates but please ensure the 3 logos displayed here are on your front page.
    Optometry Western Australia, UWA & WAVE 2025. These three logos are included in the template for you.

Final Step:
Once your E-Poster has been approved, you will receive an email with step by step instructions on how to upload this into your submission. Please ensure this is uploaded by 1st March 2025.

The winning E-Poster will be annouced over the WAVE weekend.
