by Jessica Weiss – Registered Pharmacist, Credentialled Diabetes Educator and winner of the WA CDE of the Year for 2023. Jessica first developed her passion for supporting people living with diabetes while working as a community pharmacist in in Perth since 2014. 

Since joining Diabetes WA, she has strived to provide person-centred care and bringing equity of access across the vast regional areas of WA. From travelling to an Aboriginal Medical Service in the Pilbara region to running group self-management education programs and health professional training events, and more recently, she has been collaborating with local services to develop innovative models of care to address staffing shortages in regional WA.
