Dr Moody is the Director of MD/OD Strategy Ocular Surface Disease within J&J Surgical Vision. Dr Moody has been with J&J since 2005 and has had multiple roles within the Vision Care sector of J&J. Most notably during his tenue with J&J Vision Care he was part of the development team that created 1-Day Acuvue TruEye, the first daily disposable silicone hydrogel in the world and lead the team that developed and launched 1-Day MOIST Multifocal. The multifocal development resulting in Dr Moody receiving the coveted Johnson Award in 2016. Prior to joining J&J Dr Moody was the director of Optometry at Eye Care Specialists of Northeast Pennsylvania where he conducted both independent and company sponsored clinical research. Dr Moody is a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry and the British Contact Lens Association and is a Diplomate in the Cornea, Contact Lens and Refractive Technologies Section of the AAO. Dr Moody holds seven patents within the ophthalmic space and regularly speaks within the multifocal and dry eye areas.
