Linda Karlsson, BSc. MSc. GAICD 
Linda Karlsson leads External Relations at KeepSight. KeepSight is a a free, national diabetes eye check reminder program for people with diabetes and is run by Diabetes Australia. Linda is interested in exploring ways KeepSight can become part of the optometry sector’s service delivery and support people with diabetes to continue attending regular eye checks.  
 
Linda holds a bachelor's degree in Equality and Diversity Management and a master's degree in Communications for Social Change. Outside of her part-time role with Diabetes Australia, Linda runs her own business, Folket Consultancy. Folket Consultancy (‘folks’ in Swedish) is a collective of experienced folks and together they offer expertise in community consultation and facilitation, research, data analysis and evaluation, as well as strategic communication. 
 
Linda is also the Chair and co-founder of The Hive Collective, a not-for-profit community group run by women for women. Her contributions to the community have seen her being named a finalist in the Tasmanian Young Achiever’s Award.  
 
In 2023, Linda's commitment to leadership and excellence was acknowledged with a Women's Leadership Scholarship from the Department of Premier and Cabinet. This enabled her to complete the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) Company Directors Course, and earn the GAICD, Graduate - AICD, accolades. Linda is currently an Intern Director on the Tasmanian Ports Corporation board, a Tasmanian Government state-owned corporation.
