Associate Professor Zhichao Wu presents on Late AMD: Earlier Detection with OCT & New Treatments s
Duration:

Synopsis:  This presentation will provide optometrists with an update on how OCT imaging can be used to enable the earlier detection of the late complications of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and discuss their differential diagnoses and development of a management plan. It will also provide an update on new treatments on the horizon for individuals with atrophic AMD. 

Learning Objectives
  1. To understand how to use OCT imaging to detect signs of late AMD.
  2. To understand the differential diagnoses of these signs of late AMD on OCT imaging.
  3. To understand how to develop a management plan and collaborative care models when such signs of late AMD are detected.
  4. To be better informed about potential new treatments for atrophic AMD.
