Professor Angus Turner is a leading ophthalmologist at the Lions Eye Institute dedicated to improving eye health access in remote and Indigenous communities of Western Australia. As Director of Lions Outback Vision, he has established innovative programs like the specialist mobile eye clinic and the Kimberley Northwest Eye Hub. 

As an award-winning researcher, Professor Turner is based at the University of Western Australia and collaborates with global partners to integrate AI into primary care eye screening. He is a strong advocate for evidence-based, sustainable eye care solutions and holds leadership positions in numerous organizations, including the Royal Australian Flying Doctor Service and The Lions Eye Institute.
