Since CR Labs first opened its doors in 1976, we’ve had a strong focus on supplying high-quality prescription lenses to Independent Optom­etry in Australia. We continually push the limits when it comes to lens designs and coatings, and we pride ourselves on bringing highly inno­vative products to the market that have been designed specifically for the polarising Australian Conditions. 

Back in 1976, we were the first Independent Laboratory to manufac­ture plastic prescription lenses in an era when people wore only glass lenses and in 1988, CR Labs was the first to process and supply poly­carbonate lenses. In 1990, we were the first independent lens manu­facturer in Australia to apply double sided hard coats and in 2005 we began producing the first freeform progressive and single vision lens designs. 

Today, we still pride ourselves in bringing the newest and most inno­vative designs and manufacturing processes to the Australian market from our constantly evolving world-class facility in Dandenong South. New equipment and products arrive frequently, and we continually invest in our people and the environment, putting us at the forefront of the industry.
