Professional Bio
Jeremiah is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Western Australia where he teaches into the Doctor of Optometry program. He did his training at Melbourne University where he completed his undergrad, Masters and PhD. His research focuses on neurodegeneration and ocular biomarkers of systemic disease.
Following his PhD, he worked as a research fellow at the Melbourne Brain Centre, where he received the inaugural Guelma-Alexander Fellowship for his work in electrophysiology and optical coherence tomography angiography in eye and brain disease.
Prior to his appointment at UWA, he taught at Melbourne University and Flinders University. As a clinician, he has worked across more than 50 locations spanning across Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia. His primary clinical interests include glaucoma, retina and neuro-optometry.
