Joanne is a qualified Optical Dispenser with 35 years’ experience in Optics, but has stepped outside to do roles in fashion, pharmacy and charity.
Joanne’s experience started in independent practices but includes time with corporate, wholesale and membership groups. Her roles cover training, business coaching, merchandising, buying, shop fitting, competency assessment, sales manager, operations and dispensing.
Joanne completed her MBA with specialities in Human Resource Development, Finance, Project Management and Change Management. She believes this has helped her understand the big picture, look at practice needs holistically but with a human focus.
When not working Joanne spends time on the water, enjoys a good bingeworthy series and time with her family – especially with her 3-year-old granddaughter.
