Heidi Hunter presents on Treating & Triaging Complex Corneal Patients in Optometric Practice

Synopsis: The talk will cover a series of corneal disease case reports of patients referred by ophthalmology, a practical look at therapeutic management of these post corneal surgery patients, and the pathway when things don't go to plan eg) corneal graft rejection, red eye in a scleral lens wearer, when is it safe to return to contact lenses post collagen cross linking surgery etc

  1. Gain insights into the differential diagnosis for a walk-in red eye patient with a past history of corneal disease. 
  2. Discussion on the safe use of specialty contact lenses in corneal disease patients.
